Welcome
The Center for Culture and Diversity was developed in response to the shifting demographics of California and the need to offer an appropriate paradigm for psychological services; one which embraces cultural, racial, ethnic, and sexual diversity. Hence, our philosophy and work is based on social justice and our approaches to therapy encourage the empowerment of individuals, families, and systems. Our guiding principle is one of respect for the integrity of human beings. We are a multi-ethnic, multilingual and multicultural group of therapists with a wide range of specializations including:

  • Intergenerational concerns
  • Social and family justice
  • Grief work
  • Treatment of trauma and abuse
  • Adolescent issues
  • Child play therapy
  • HIV and AIDS
  • Sexual orientation
  • Migration/immigration issues
  • Family issues and transitions
  • Pain and fatigue
  • Spirituality
  • Addictions
  • DBT Supported Therapy

In addition to our direct services, we offer supervision of interns, consultation, life coaching, support for student research projects, and training on issues of diversity.
